About us
Thirty years of quiet, patient work in Bengal.
Riddhi Seva Kendra has worked since 1993 for social welfare and the well-being of communities. It was formally registered as a society in 1994.
This long journey grew from the inspiration of eminent philanthropist Late Dr. Sushil Kumar Mukherjee and acclaimed medical practitioner Late Dr. Sobha Ghosh. Doctors, support staff, volunteers and the trust of local people continue to sustain RSK's work.

A legacy of science, medicine and service
Founder President
Late Dr. Sushil Kumar Mukherjee
D.Sc., FNA · 1914–2006
A renowned chemical and soil scientist, university leader and UNESCO professor, he brought intellectual rigour and deep social commitment to RSK's founding vision.
Second President
Dr. Sobha Ghosh
1925–2013
An obstetrician, gynaecologist and uncompromising advocate against injustice, she led RSK from 2006 to 2013 and served disadvantaged communities throughout her life.
Third President
Sri Krishna Das Mukherjee
Madhu Mukherjee · died 2025
A scientist and agricultural expert, he taught beekeeping and fish farming to help communities become self-reliant and remained devoted to social welfare throughout his life.

Our mission
Riddhi Seva Kendra works to improve health, strengthen livelihoods and help communities become more self-reliant across Kolkata and Jhargram.
Our vision
Villages where a young person can earn near home, an elder can see a doctor the same week, and old age is spent in company rather than alone.
Where we work
Two districts, one continuous thread
Our registered office sits in Dhakuria, Kolkata, where fundraising, accounts and partnerships are managed. Our field work is centred on Jhargram, in the sal forest belt of south-western West Bengal.
